EEGA – Phase II approval (2020 – 2024)

The Leibniz ScienceCampus „Eastern Europe – Global Area“ (EEGA), initiated by the Leibniz Institute for Regional Geography and the University of Leipzig, will be funded for another four years by the Leibniz Association. We are very pleased that this collaborative project on globalisation processes in Eastern Europe can be continued and the efforts for regional and national research cooperation as well as international visibility of the science region Leipzig – Halle – Jena were rated positively.

Please see here the presse release in English and in German.

Check out the newsletter of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg or the news of the Research Centre Global Dynamics (University of Leipzig), which also report on the continuation of the EEGA.

For the repporting of the Leipziger Volkszeitung (LVZ) about the continuation of the EEGA please see the media review (2020) of the of the IfL.
